Extended Living Area

The entrance to the main house is via a side gate and path. The house is surrounded to the side and rear by gardens with well established plants offering seclusion and privacy. To the front of the house is a parking area for three cars.

The ground floor consists of two living areas and a large kitchen, all of which are open plan. This year one of the living areas has been extended with glass panels and large sliding doors which open onto a patio and barbeque area. The ceiling has been replaced with glass panels and oak beams.

Additionally there is now a large shower in the downstairs utility room.

The Snug

Furnishings and wall colours are  quiet and understated, with solid oak flooring.

The inner snug has a wood burning stove, great for any chilly evening - not only the colder months; two sofas, an oak coffee table and a shelving unit housing TV, video and music system. An oak long slim window now overlooks the patio area - photo not available just yet - bringing more light into the room.

There is a large hall area with extensive hanging space for coats and boots, an upright piano, and a small library.

The Kitchen

The kitchen is equipped with a raeburn oven (great for tasty roasts and casseroles), an electric oven, a gas hob with wok attachment, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

A large oak dining table with extra leaves will easily seat fourteen. A utility room - ideal for hanging out wetsuits or walking boots - is equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, belfast sink and wooden draining board.

Extensive changes have been made to the first floor. There are now four bedrooms, three large bedooms (two small bedrooms have been made into one) and one small bedroom. The beds in these rooms can be changed to suit the arrangement of the party. The very large bedroom (not featured) holds two double beds and is an ideal children's room. There are two further large bedrooms with king size beds and a single room which can house either a single or small double. The house will sleep 8-10 people.

With new skylights the upstairs is a light and spacious area. Other eco friendly renovations have been the addition of solar panels and a new heating system.

In addition to an upstairs bathroom which has a bath fitted with telephone style shower, there is a shower room upstairs and another wide shower in the utility room, useful for showering after the beach and large enough to fit a few little ones.

There is a toilet in the upstairs bathroom, also a downstairs closet with toilet and sink in the ground floor entrance.

The house is lived in all year by the owner and daughter, and has the feel of a lived in home as opposed to a holiday let which is always favoured by guests.
